Daniel Lamont

Daniel joins Thyme Tax as Finance Director, bringing more than a decade of senior financial leadership across investment management and financial advisory. As Founder and Managing Director of Emira Capital Ltd, a private equity investment firm, he grew assets under management from zero to £30M while personally holding FCA regulated functions (CF1, 10, 11 and 30) and overseeing budgets of up to £10M.

Previously, he spent six years as Managing Director of Active Finance (Scotland) Ltd, a directly authorised IFA practice serving UK retail clients.

Daniel's expertise spans financial strategy, regulatory compliance, risk management and corporate governance. He holds the CeFA, CeMAP and DipFA qualifications from the London Institute of Banking and Finance. At Thyme Tax, he leads the firm's financial strategy, controls and long-term growth planning.
